Gas Appliance Installation Greta
Gas appliance installation in Greta covers cooktops, ovens, space heaters, outdoor BBQs and pool heaters, each one hooked up under a gas licence. The supply is tested, the appliance fitted and commissioned, and the price agreed first. A plumber in Greta handles it from quote to handover.
It is part of our gas fitting work. Smell gas already? Go to gas leak detection instead.

Which Appliances Can We Connect?
- Freestanding and built-in cooktops and ovens
- Space heaters and wall furnaces
- Outdoor BBQs and patio heaters on a fixed line
- Pool and spa heaters
- Gas hot water units, which are covered with the rest of our hot water work
Connecting any of these without a licence is illegal in NSW, and it is not safe.
Can Your Gas Line Take Another Appliance?
Before a new appliance goes on, the existing line has to prove it can carry the load:
- A pressure test shows whether the pipework is tight
- The pipe size is checked against total gas demand, since two big appliances on an undersized line both run short
- Old steel sections in older houses may need replacing before a connection is safe
- Any new run is planned with you, so you know what gets lifted or opened
The results go into the quote, so an old joint becomes a known cost rather than a surprise.

What Sets the Price of an Install?
We provide up-front, honest quotes that will always match the final price, should you decide to go ahead.
An install is priced on:
- The distance from the existing supply to the new appliance
- Whether the old pipework passes the test or needs a section replaced
- The fittings, regulator and valves the appliance calls for
- Access under the floor or through walls to get the line there

When We're Not the Right Call
An appliance that will not ignite because of an electrical fault, such as a failed ignition module or fan, needs the manufacturer's service agent or an electrician. A leak at the meter goes to the gas distributor.
Gas Appliance Questions
Will my older Greta home need new gas pipe for a new appliance?
Possibly. Some older homes have supply lines that have narrowed or corroded, so the pipe is pressure-checked and its size compared with the appliance's load. Any upgrade is quoted beside the install, and you approve the whole job.
Can a patio or BBQ gas point be added?
Yes. A fixed line is run from a suitable point on your pipework out to the patio, finished with an isolation valve and the right connector for the appliance. It is leak-tested before you light anything.
Do you connect pool and spa heaters?
Yes. Pool heaters draw a lot of gas, so the pipe size back to the meter is checked as part of the quote. A longer or larger line is priced before anything is dug or run.
Is the appliance install covered by warranty?
Yes. The connection, the pipe we ran and the fittings we supplied all carry our 365-day warranty on all work, so ring the same number if a joint we made gives any trouble.
