Drain Jetting Greta
Drain jetting in Greta clears sewer and stormwater lines with high-pressure water that scours the full bore of the pipe, with no chemicals used. A plumber in Greta sets the pressure to suit your pipe, confirms the result with a camera, and fixes the price before starting. Ring (02) 4063 3475 to book.
Jetting is one of the tools behind our blocked drains service.

What Can a Jetter Shift?
A jetter and an electric eel both travel on the van. The jetter is the better tool for:
- Fat and grease coating kitchen lines until only a narrow channel is left
- Silt and grit washed into yard drains and pits after heavy rain
- Root fibres left behind once the eel has cut through a mass
- Scale and sludge lining the walls of older pipe
Because the nozzle sprays backward as it travels, it scrubs the full circle of the pipe wall on the way back out.
When Is Jetting the Wrong Tool?
A broken pipe
A solid root mass
The CCTV drain inspection page explains how the camera decides between the two, and sewage backing up inside is covered under blocked sewer work.
How Does a Jetting Job Run?
- 01
Ring or send the form
Call (02) 4063 3475 or use the form to explain the fault. We ask enough to bring the right equipment the first time.
- 02
A fixed price first
A plumber inspects the job and names a fixed figure up front. Nothing gets started until you give the go-ahead.
- 03
Jet and flush
The nozzle suited to your pipe goes in through an opening, and water under pressure breaks the choke loose and carries it away.
- 04
Covered for a year
Every job carries our 365-day warranty on all work. If something we did isn't right, ring the same number.
A camera pass then shows the pipe running clear, and any crack it reveals is pointed out before we go.
What Changes the Cost of Jetting?
We provide up-front, honest quotes that will always match the final price, should you decide to go ahead.
The jetting quote moves with:
- Length of the run Since a long line may need the hose fed from two openings
- What the blockage is With loose silt quicker to shift than packed fat or roots
- Pipe material Because clay is cleaned at lower pressure than PVC
- A recorded camera check Where you want the finished line filmed and kept
Clay Joints, Garden Roots and Hillside Runoff
Clay pipe from the colliery years
Roots in the gaps
Silt from the estate
What Customers Say
We talked through the options of our blocked kitchen sink drain (not just an s bend problem) and came to the perfect long term solution at a reasonable price.
When We're Not the Right Call
A jetter cleans a pipe; it cannot rebuild one. If the camera finds a length that has fallen or split, the next step is a repair or a reline, priced from the footage. A choke in the shared main beyond your boundary is for Hunter Water to clear.
Drain Jetting Questions
Is jetting safe on the earthenware drains under Greta?
Yes, with the pressure matched to the pipe. Old clay is jetted gently and only as hard as its walls allow, and the camera goes through afterwards so you can see the line is open and intact.
Does jetting stop roots coming back?
It cuts out the roots that are there now. If they got in through a cracked joint, they can return through the same gap, and relining is the way to seal that gap off from the inside.
Can stormwater lines on the estate be jetted too?
Yes. Silt carried down from the Wyndham Ridge estate settles in yard lines and pits, and the jetter flushes it out the same way it clears a sewer, with a camera check to finish.
Are chemicals used in a jetting clear?
No. Water under pressure does the whole job, breaking up fat, silt and root fibres and washing them down the line. Nothing caustic goes into your pipes or the ground around them.
